The Pocahontas County Libraries & Visitors Information Centers serve as information resources for the residents and visitors of Pocahontas County. The main library, the McClintic Library, is located in the county seat of Marlinton with branches in the communities of Durbin, Hillsboro, Green Bank and Linwood (at the base of Snowshoe Mountain). The libraries provide free computer access, Wi-Fi (except in Green Bank), literacy materials, meeting room space and educational and recreational programming for adults and children. Materials available to physically check-out include books, movies, magazines, newspapers, audio books and items in our nature collection. Users can also download e-books and e-audiobooks as well as access digital databases for students and job seekers. The libraries also have office services such as copies, fax, and notary services. Additionally the libraries keep up-to-date on maps and flyers for visitors. Plus our friendly, knowledgeable staff is readily available to assist with all your information needs.
