The Marlinton Town Council will hold the third and final reading of an Ordinance to Reduce the Business and Occupation Tax Imposed by Article 737.08 of the Marlinton Town Code and an Ordinance to Implement a Municipal Sales and Service Tax and a Municipal Use Tax Pursuant to West Virginia Code Subsection 8-1-5a on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Marlinton Municipal Building Auditorium.  The proposed ordinances  are being implemented as required by the Town of Marlinton’s Home Rule Plan, which was approved by the West Virginia Home Rule Board on July 17, 2024.  Both ordinances are available to the public at the Town Hall Office, Marlinton Municipal Building, 709 Second Avenue, Marlinton, WV  24954 Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Interested parties may appear at the meeting to be heard with respect to the proposed ordinances.
