NOTICE:
The Marlinton Town Council will hold the third and final reading of an Ordinance to Amend the Refuse and Garbage Ordinance and Increase Collection Rates on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Marlinton Municipal Building Auditorium. The proposed ordinance is available to the public at the Town Hall Office, Marlinton Municipal Building, 709 Second Avenue, Marlinton, WV 24954 Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on this webpage. Increases in fees are necessary due to the September 1, 2024 tipping fee increase at Pocahontas County Landfill from $72.75 per ton to $95.00 per ton. Interested parties may appear at the meeting to be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.
