NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF MARLINTON, WEST VIRGINIA
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Marlinton, West Virginia, a municipal corporation, at a regular meeting of the Council of the Town of Marlinton (the “Town Council”) to be held on April 7, 2025, at seven o’clock (7:00) p.m. in the Marlinton Town Hall, 709 Second Avenue, will hold a public hearing before the final vote on two proposed ordinances, the principal objects of which are to change from bi-monthly to monthly billings of the sewer and water bills; the increase of sewer rates for the customers of the Town of Marlinton’s sewer utility; and the increase of water rates for the customers of the Town of Marlinton’s water utility. The titles of such ordinances are:
“Ordinance Providing for Monthly Billing of Rates, Charges and Fees for Sewer Services, and Providing for Increased Rates, Charges and Fees for Sewer Services for All Customers of the Municipally Owned and Operated Sewer Utility of the Town of Marlinton, Pocahontas County, West Virginia”; and
“Ordinance Providing for Monthly Billing of Rates, Charges and Fees for Water Services, and Providing for Increased Rates, Charges and Fees for Water Services for All Customers of the Municipally Owned and Operated Water Utility of the Town of Marlinton, Pocahontas County, West Virginia.”
Interested persons may appear and be heard by the Town Council with respect to the passage of the proposed ordinances. Following the public hearing, the Town Council shall take such actions as it shall deem proper upon the ordinances. Copies of the proposed ordinances are available for public inspection at the Marlinton Town Hall, 709 Second Avenue, Marlinton, West Virginia.
